Links of London Skull Bracelets

I am a compulsive bracelet hauler and feel naked without a good stacking! The latest to catch my eye are the new punk-inspired Links of London skull bracelets. The only downside with these is deciding which one to buy! Being a fan of all things neon I will probably go for the multi-coloured (exclusive to the web and only 1000 made, be quick). These cool bracelets are made of tiny skulls sown into a thread bracelet and will look great alongside the rest of your wrist candy.

My Sweetie bracelet has been great but I've found one critism with my Friendship. I would definitely not advise you to go for a white or creamy shade of thread as their light cotton proves difficult to keep clean. My silver and white bracelet looked really worn after a few months, even though I looked after it, and I haven’t been able to restore it to a clean white.

The skull bracelets start at £135 and if you go for a dark or rich bright shade of cotton there is no reason why you can't keep it forever. I am all about investment pieces and believe Links of London bracelets are well worth the asking price. They are sturdy and can pretty much withstand anything...try six festivals and counting!

All bracelets are available to buy in store or online at Links of London

Accessorising with Meg Mathews

The moment I walked into the scarf room last year at Liberty an array of beautiful prints caught my eye. I found myself bypassing the McQueen’s and heading straight over to this lovely display of silk scarves. The designer it turned out, was none other than original rock chick come yummy mummy turned print designer; Meg Mathews.

After the success of her gorgeous printed wallpaper Ms Mathews created her own range of luxurious scarves. Each are made in the UK with 100% silk and feature her own signature Russian Doll design. After the overload of skull scarves it's refreshing to see a new design.

Scarves really can make an outfit. There is nothing more stylish than a great pair of jeans paired with a basic top and customised with a statement scarf. As Meg say’s ‘I have always loved scarves, I love the way they can make an outfit and add personality to what you are wearing, they are versatile, exciting and definitely on trend’.

See below for my pick of the best. Wear all year long conventionally, as a head scarf or accessorise your swimsuit on the beach this summer. I’m heading to St Tropez in June and one of these will look just perfect teamed with my new crochet bikini.

Enjoy…

Brights

GO B R I G H T

Since watching the Jil Sander SS11 show all I can think about is juicy brights.
Discard your winter camel uniform and try something more delicious. Look out for that tangerine burst, aqua blue, neon pink, lime green and citrus lemon…mouth watering! Think electric and make a bold statement blocking colours or clashing for that all out runway look. Keep accessories oversized and minimal; grab a chunky cocktail ring, a fruity silk scarf or a statement rainbow tassel bag, throw on some round DVF sunglasses or a pair of neon Ray-Bans and your good to go!
For those not quite so daring team a vibrant pink with a neutral shade or turn up the voltage on your crisp white shirt by pairing with a pair of bold white leg trousers.

Here is Novateur’s edit to get you in the mood…lets get zesty...
