Trend Watch: Topshop A/W 11 Preview

This A/W Topshop brings us four new trends: 'Psychobilly', 'Thrift', 'Glamrock' and 'Bavaria'. Here's a sneak preview and Novateur's guide to each collection.

Psychobilly
Novateur: '50s styling with a rough edge. Think sleek masculine tailoring, leather and eclectic prints. Remember 70s New York, rock n roll and CBGB’s. Throw in some Danny Zuko and round off with a quiff or retro pin curls.'

Thrift (Prim & Polished)
Novateur: 'Think vintage; this collection references the 60s and 70s with added war time inspired pieces for good measure. It’s prim, it’s geeky and it’s something your grandma will probably have worn. Go granny chic with tea dresses, blouses and fur trimmed coats. Think Alexa Chung, long socks, clumpy shoes and cute jumpers.'

Glamrock
Novateur: 'Kate Moss meets Studio 54. Channel your inner rock star and pull out the night-time glitz. Wrap up in jet faux fur or hot pink shaggy goats skin. Stand out in skinny trousers, sparkly separates, glittery platforms and seventies inspired hats.'

Bavaria
Novateur: 'Folk law goes modern. Bavaria is a contemporary way to wrap up warm this winter. Go bohemian with luxe coats, cosy fur and chunky knits. Clash prints and layer up. Stylish yet practical.'
