Trend Watch SS11: The Seventies Flares Up

Novateur's favourite trend is back with force. The only decade to be living in this summer is the 70s.

Think high waisted flares, wide trousers, decorative and wooden shoes, silk blouses, suede skirts, halter necks and floral maxi dresses. Accessorise with printed scarves (great as bandanas), floppy hats, feathers, tassels, fringing and round or brown tinted sunglasses. For daytime inspiration think Farrah Fawcettsun-kissed skin, denim overload, flares and paisley prints. For evening go glam disco queen in silk dresses and jumpsuits a la Bianca Jagger at Studio 54.
